As a follow up, my divorce became final last year, and I’m writing to update on the experience. Neither my ex wife nor I wanted a battle. My ex’s attorney, however, did. Perhaps she was trying to get some extra billing? Jeff shut down my ex’s attorney without making an enemy of my ex. This last part was important to me. Though I wanted no part of being “friends” with my ex, I didn’t want any “bad blood” either. We all make enough enemies in life by accident. I didn’t want to make another one on purpose, especially the one I was supposed to grow old with. The litigation went smoothly, affordably, and fairly. Jeff negotiated a stipulated judgment that reflected the right result. My ex was a big earner, and she made more money than I do, so she wound up paying me, even though I’m the husband. It’s well known that divorce court is unfairly stacked against men, and Jeff knows how to even the playing field. Jeff was in constant communication with me, and responded to all of my questions. I have since referred several clients to Jeff, and they reported back to me that they were extremely happy with his representation.
